Spent most of the day doing recon for the RAAM Van. Supply list included wide angle rear view mirror, aluminum tubing for a light bar, driving lights, and another power outlet for the dash of the van. Installing the light bar nicely to the front bumper is the next step. The license plate mounts look like they might come in handy for securing the light bar. The PA system is still a puzzle for me. I had the idea of running a microphone through the auxillary port on the car stereo thus changing the speakers into a PA system. No luck with that! Could not find a microphone that had its own DC power source. Oh well, I will investigate other options. On an up note, I did order a 2" receiver hitch for the van, so that will get us one step closer to the bike rack installation for the 4 bikes. Bumped into some great 10 gallon gatorade water coolers that might work well for the event. Will check with the team to see if that is the route we want to go for carrying water.
